At the Furniture Bank, we furnish hope by helping those in need furnish a home. The idea is simple. The effect is profound.
cribs – parents cannot bring new babies home without one.
dressers – women escaping an abusive relationship need a safe place for their children’s clothes.
dining tables – families torn apart by disaster can come back together.
Our goal is to collect all gently used furniture and appliances before they are discarded and distribute them to those in need—without charge. To ensure these donations reach those with the greatest need, we serve qualified referrals from recognized charitable and government agencies.
Today, the Furniture Bank serves over 2,400 families in Oakland County every year. But there is a lot more to do inside and outside the county. And our services depend on the continued support of individuals, businesses, churches, organizations and foundations. We invite you to get involved.
