Furniture Pickups – Our Essential Items

To arrange a pickup, your items must be in gently-used condition, meaning there are no rips, stains, tears, or structural damage. You must have at least 1 essential item. We cannot pickup captain, platform, or trundle beds. Items considered to be essential are:

  • Mattresses – Any Size
  • Box springs – Any Size
  • Sofas, sofabeds or sectional sofas
  • Dressers or chest of drawers
  • Dining/Kitchen tables
  • Dining/Kitchen chairs – At least 4

You can make a tax-deductible furniture donation to the Furniture Bank and help a local family in need. It’s easy, and we’ll pick it up for free. If you don’t want to carry the furniture out of your home, We’ll Take It Out For You.*

All donated items must be in gently-used condition since they will impact a family immediately.

We are unable to accept items that have:

  • Rips
  • Stains
  • Tears
  • Structural damage
  • Pet damage
  • Wood pieces that are heavily marred or scratched
  • Knobs and drawers should also be fully functional
  • Large appliances
  • Clothing
  • Medical/Hospital beds
  • Platform/Trundle beds
  • Cribs
  • Lift chairs
  • Bookshelves
  • Armoires
  • China/Curio/Display cabinets
  • Buffets/Hutches
  • Wall units
  • Entertainment centers
  • Desks/Office furniture/File cabinets
  • Pianos/Organs

We’ll Take It Out For You* pickup service

For $20, furniture donors can take advantage of our We’ll Take It Out For You* pickup service, with our trained professional movers carefully removing essential Items from your home. This convenient service is a great value, and all money collected will support the Furniture Bank’s mission of providing beds and essential home furnishings to children and families in need.
