The Furniture Bank of Metro Detroit is back with the 2nd Annual Furniture Flip Challenge, a creative fundraiser that brings together design, sustainability, and community impact. We’re inviting YOU to transform pre-loved furniture into something extraordinary for a chance to win cash prizes and support families across Metro Detroit.

How the Challenge Works
Choose & Enter
Pay a $30 entry fee and pick a project piece from our selection of furniture at our location:
339 E Whitcomb Ave,
Madison Heights, MI 480713
Monday – Friday | 8:30AM – 4:30PM
Pickup from June 1 – August 28, 2026
Get Creative
Reimagine, refurbish, and restore your piece into something beautiful and functional.
Be sure to document the process with photos, including at least one photo of yourself working on the piece.
Show It Off
Submit photos of your finished piece and return it before the deadline to be entered into the competition.
Selected pieces will be featured during the Furniture Flip Bash, where winners will be announced live.
