Free Furniture Refinishing Workshop for Flip Challenge Participants
The Furniture Bank of Metro Detroit is excited to partner with Dee Dee’s Fine Vintage in Clawson to offer Furniture Flip Challenge participants a complimentary hands-on furniture refinishing workshop.
Dee Dee’s owner Amanda Burgess-Proctor has generously offered to lead a complimentary furniture refinishing workshop at the new home of the Furniture Bank of Metro Detroit in Madison Heights.
During this 90-minute session, participants will learn what makes a good DIY project, how to properly prepare pieces for refinishing, and best practices for painting, staining, and sealing furniture. Amanda will also share insights into what judges will be looking for in evaluating entries in the competition.
When & where:
The workshop will be held on Wednesday, June 17, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
What to expect:
The session will include an informative presentation, Q&A, and light refreshments.
How to attend:
Registered Furniture Flip Challenge participants are welcome to attend this complimentary workshop. No separate registration is required. Please arrive a few minutes before the 6:00 p.m. start time at the Furniture Bank’s Madison Heights location.
This is a great opportunity for flippers of all skill levels to gain practical tips and elevate their work ahead of the challenge.
