June 2025 Furniture Bank Newsletter

As I celebrate my one-year anniversary with the Furniture Bank, I find myself reflecting on just how much can happen in twelve months—and how grateful I am to be part of it.
In many ways, this past year has been a season of transformation. We’ve embraced a new name, launched a new logo, unveiled a new website, welcomed new board members, connected with new donors, and made new friends along the way. There’s a new energy running through the Furniture Bank—a renewed sense of purpose and possibility— and it’s all thanks to you.
Change isn’t always easy. But when it’s rooted in mission, fueled by compassion, and supported by a caring community, it becomes powerful. It becomes progress. And I’m proud to say that every change we’ve made has brought us closer to the heart of our work: helping families in need create a stable, dignified home.
Whether you’ve given time, talent, furniture, or financial support, thank you. You’ve helped us dream bigger, reach further, and serve more families with hope and dignity.
Here’s to everything we’ve accomplished together— and everything still to come.

What Could You Do with This Piece of Furniture?
Thirty years ago, this was THE piece of furniture to have in your house. Now, thanks to flat screen televisions they are no longer fashionable. We’re challenging you to re-imagine another use for entertainment centers instead of seeing it end up in the landfill.
Nursery Closet? Coffee Hutch? Console? The ideas are endless. Stop by the Furniture Bank of Metro Detroit at 333 North Perry, Pontiac Monday – Friday 8:30a.m. to 4:30p.m. and choose your furniture flip piece.
If those times don’t work for you, call us and we’ll set up a time that suits your schedule! Over 80 people have entered, will YOU step up to the challenge? Hurry and enter TODAY!
Not Crafty, But Want to Help?
This event isn’t just about flipping furniture—it’s about flipping lives. And you don’t have to be a DIY pro to take part.
You can help right now by sharing the Furniture Flip Challenge with your friends, neighbors, and colleagues. Post on your social media channels. Every share helps spread the word and gives people the chance to win a $5,000 cash prize!
From social media buzz to real-world impact, your support is making a difference. Let’s keep the momentum going!
