For every $250 we receive, the Furniture Bank is able to provide a house full of furniture for a local family, so that children are sleeping in warm beds instead of on cold floors; so that families have tables around which to gather for a meal; and so that those who are most vulnerable can live with stability and dignity.

You may also make a donation with a check via mail. An acknowledgement letter will be sent with every donation. If you would like to make the donation in honor or in memory of someone, please include that persons name, as well as whom you would like the acknowledgement letter sent to. Printable Donation Form

Sofas Gently-Used / Good Repair (*excluding sofa beds, reclining sofas & sectional sofas)

Dining/Kitchen Tables Gently-Used / Good Repair

Dining/Kitchen Chairs At Least 2 – Gently-Used / Good Repair
Living Room Chairs Gently-Used / Good Repair
Coffee Tables, End Tables, Nightstands Gently-Used / Good Repair
Small Items We can also take up to five (5) bags or boxes of smaller housewares, such as bedding, towels, lamps, pots, pans silverware and other basics. We do not take clothing.

Tips

Is your furniture suitable for donation?

Gently used furniture is clean, functioning and it doesn’t need repair.

You would be happy to give to a close family member
Is structurally sound
Has no major stains, rips or tears

Is free of strong odors
Has only minor marks of surface damage
Is free of scratches of damage from pets

If you’re still unsure, send us a photo of your furniture (highlighting any damage or wear) and we’re happy to assess it for you. Email your photos to donations@furniture-bank.org or give us a call at 248-332-1300.

Free Porch and Garage Pickup

We will pick up all of the above items, in good condition, from your porch or garage.

$75 Pickup Fee

Our trained movers will carefully remove any combination of these items in good repair from the inside of your home, saving you the effort and aggravation at a cost that can’t be beat!

Are your items older or more worn? Do you have things that you just want to get rid of?

No problem! You Call, We Haul!

$100 per item

We’ll remove furniture* which is older and/or not in good condition, as well as bookshelves, buffets, curio cabinets, desks, grandfather clocks, headboards/footboards, hutches, sectional sofas, sofa beds, sofa recliner, stereo cabinets, tv stands, televisions and treadmills.

* mattresses, box springs, sofas, dressers, dining tables and chairs, living room chairs, coffee tables, end tables, night standands.

$125 per item

We’ll remove armoires, China cabinets, entertainment centers and treadmills. We do not take appliances.

Fast Track Service

Need the stuff out in a hurry? FOR ONLY $100, we can make a special trip outside of our normal pickup schedule.
